Here are my top 5 anime picks:

5/5. Deadman Wonderland

Deadman Wonderland is a prison and an amusement park built after Tokyo was destroyed. The prisoners in the prison are forced to play sick games for their survival. After being framed for a brutal murder, Ganta Igarash is sent there and finds Shiro, an albino stalker and obscurantist, who used to be his childhood friend. Soon, he gains superpowers. Deadman is a very cool series but for some reason, it ended with a lot of question marks and there won't be a season 2. Otherwise, it was top 3.

4/5. Attack On Titan

In the center of the plot are three children. After their city is attacked by giant man-eating monsters, they are drafted into the army and forced to fight against them before all humans are turned into titanic excrement. This anime has become mainstream, and it is indeed a well-made series. Heavily recommended for fans of violence and disasters.

3/5. Future Diary

Yukiteru Amano is a lonely boy who writes a journal on his phone and talks to his imaginary god, Deus Ex Machina. One day the god decides to bring Yukiteru and eleven other random individuals a diary that shows the future and it turns into a survival game between the twelve. The show is worth watching just because of Yuno Gasai, a psychotic stalker who protects Yukiteru at all costs until it becomes downright disturbing/pleasant.

2/5. Death Note

Ryuk, the angel of death, drops his notebook of death into the human world. There Raito, a genius and popular high school student finds it. After he realizes that the person whose name is written in this notebook is dead, he decides to kill all the criminals to make the world a better place. But, murder is murder and.. it's going completely out of control. An enjoyable masterpiece recommended to everyone.

1/5. Paranoia Agent

Lil' Slugger is a scary kid riding rollerblades hitting people and smiling. His first victim is Tsukiko Sagi, a strange and shy doll designer. The number of victims increases and the number of clues to solving the mystery does not increase at all. It is definitely a work of art that is difficult to explain in words. The series slowly turns into a senseless hallucination and conveys a very strong message to the viewers.
